Day Six. . . Monday

My morning ritual

Today my children spent their entire recess building these rock mountains.

After a long day at work, there's nothing like a soak in the Hot Springs pool

Day Five. . . Sunday

This weekend was spent in Boulder with the objective of training in the gym and hanging out with good friends.

Urban road trips to Boulder always consist of a few very important staples.

1. Friends!

2. Brunch

3. Climbing gyms

4. Whole Foods

Jesse Matner telling it like it is.

I've been seeing this cat in our neighborhood for weeks.
Today we became friends!

My bed

When I was 3 I swallowed a penny. It got stuck in my throat and required a visit to the hospital. I still remember when they put the mask over my face to make me fall asleep. I'm told that they removed the penny with a very small vacuum machine. My parents used the penny to buy my this bear. His name is Boo Boo Bear. I still sleep with him.

This is the view from my bedroom window. When it's not cloudy you can see Sopris Mountain.

Journals
I'm in the process of making over 100 journals for Mountain Fair this summer. Mountain Fair is a three day festival complete with loads of handmade stuff to buy, live music, Indian food burritos, and hippies. These are 3 journals from the "atlas series".

The ants go marching one by one. . . or something like that.

Day Two. . . Thursday

Rock and Ice's annual Christmas party always includes a White Elephant gift exchange. One year I managed to steal these gems. If it's not obvious, that is Bill and Hillary Clinton as a wine opener and nutcracker respectively.

Here are Bill and Hillary again. I often find these two in compromising position after have company stay the night.

This little happy face pen thingy sits on my desk at work. "Attitude is Everything" it says.

Working in what I affectionately refer to as the "germ factory" has it's ups and downs.  My immune system is typically very good. But for the last two weeks I've been fighting what I believed to be an annoying cold. Today I finally went to the doctor and was told I have a sinus infection. Having to wear this mask in the waiting room was just adding insult to injury.

A Picture A Day

I've challenged myself to update this blog with at least one picture and one caption each day. With my new phone/camera/Angry Bird machine this should be fun!

A box of 5.10 shoes, jeans, and t-shirts arrived in the mail last week! I've been practically living in five ten, head to toe, ever since.

WinterFest in Redstone is an annual winter festival complete with ice climbing, pull-up contests, snow sculptures, dog races, and lots and lots of good friends.

Andrew and I have been busy learning the ins and outs of our new phones. The camera apps are lots of fun.

After a fun weekend with friends it's back to work.

A pinata that hangs in my classroom.

Sorpis Mountain on the drive home from school. With views like this it's hard to imagine living anywhere else.

Nothing like a nice hot bath after a long day!

Sun, sun, sun. . . makes everything beautiful.
